The Expat LifeHope Hotline is an outreach program to the international community living in Macau. As an extension of Caritas social services, the hotline provides a confidential and empathic avenue for individuals seeking help, support, or information.
We all face moments of crisis in life when we need someone to care and listen without judgement. Talking through your feelings or problems with someone who cares to listen can be life changing. Being heard can help to release feelings of hopelessness and despair, and help to find clarity in moments of loss or confusion.
Our volunteers are trained to accept each caller and respond with respect and dignity, and are always willing to listen!
Mon-Fri : 10:00 – 18:00
Sat : 10:00 – 14:00
Expat LifeHope, as part of Caritas Macau, is able to provide intermediation with local government departments, hospitals, police, labor unions, courts and legal advisors, as well as individuals, organizations or institutions overseas.
Expat LifeHope also organizes workshops and awareness programs in schools, universities, and community centers in Macau. These activities aim to promote suicide prevention and raise awareness of emotional/mental health issues, addiction, domestic violence, human trafficking, as well as educate on human and labor rights.
